Kotsuhiroi develops an atelier-gallery conceived as a space for research and experimentation, directly connected to the artistic process.
This space is neither a permanent exhibition venue nor a conventional commercial gallery, but a working environment where forms can be tested, displaced, revisited, or left unresolved.
The studio operates as a chamber of transformation, where time, material, and perception remain open.
At certain moments, the space opens to small-group studio sessions, extending this research through shared practice and transmission.
Atelier de recherche — Spring Sessions
Research sessions take place within Studio Kotsuhiroi, an artist studio located in Grosrouvre (Yvelines).
Each session is a time for work, experimentation and reflection, where each participant develops their own personal research.
The studio functions as a research laboratory where matter becomes a form of writing.
Materials and practices emerge according to the needs of each individual research process.
Clay, lacquer, wood, textile, ink or rawer materials may be called upon, transformed and assembled.
Exchange acts as a score, opening a space for listening and transmission.
A singular research unfolds like a path:
to be present to one’s inner listening,
to act through a deliberate gesture,
to develop a language of research.
Sessions take place in very small groups in order to preserve an attentive and focused working atmosphere.

Sessions generally take place twice a month, though the rhythm may be adapted according to each participant's needs (weekly, twice monthly, or monthly).
Intensive Research Days
Full-day working sessions of work dedicated to deeper and more sustained forms of practice. These days may unfold through primitive ceramic firing processes, life drawing sessions, or other focused explorations shaped by the needs of the group.
