ICON
The Icons do not operate within representation or narrative.
They function as threshold-images, surfaces of presence in which the body, the object, or the landscape cease to be subjects and become operative devices.
Produced as unique prints, without a negative, these images are inscribed in a logic of irreversibility. Each icon exists as a singular occurrence, close to the artifact or the relic, where the image does not depict but acts.
Frontality, silence, and the absence of narration shift the gaze toward a threshold experience, in which the visible becomes a site of passage rather than of reading
